Tacloban City

At first I thought it was hard to meet and have “fun” in this beautiful city! I was probably looking in the wrong direction and got a wonderful surprise!

When there, I would usually run around the malls (yep, there are two branches of Gaisano now) and that big Robinson’s place near the airport. Ah there are a lot of cute and hunky boys to salivate about. But I really thought that was the most of it – “for your eyes only”!

Hey, contrary to advise from a faggot friend who lives in Kamuning, don’t go to plaza Libertad (in front of the capitol). there is nothing worth to hook there. And even if you already have someone, there are guards roaming the place. If you must be in that area, go instead to nearby Zaibatsu Café Bar. It’s the hippest place in town late evenings. And that is where the “A” crowd hangout. And when I say “A”, I do not mean call center agents or bank clerks. Actors, actresses, news people, the wealthy are the regulars of Zaibatsu. Then again, there are the members of the federacien! So it is a fun place and a good place to start! Remember though, the capitol building is a grand photo op at night when all those big lights are on illuminating it!

The restobars (esp those with live bands/singers) are a good place to look and see too! Generally though, boys and men will be in groups and you have to have extra patience and extra effort to pick the fish of your choice hehe! I like ‘Ka Enan’ with its native ambiance. Ah, don’t even bother going to ‘Felisa’s Café’! Its where the D.O.M.s are and naturally the redlight girls! Ack! Oh, when you’re already holding hands with someone, try that small acoustic joint across Hotel Alejandro. Its cozy with very good singers. If you want to be away from everyone, try Kyle’s – it’s a bar with huts surrounding the Olympic-size pool (now murky) back of the Sto Nino Shrine. For a go-see of the multitudes, try the barbeque stands surrounding their sports center (it’s a big dome, am not sure if its called astro-dome).

But here was the surprise. I went walking to see the ‘Balyuan Park’ at night as one friend told me the amphitheater and stage are a nice photo-op. It was there alright, but the lights were not on. But there are a lot of barbecue shacks there, so I stayed a while for a bottle of beer. Walking back past the city hall and towards Tacloban Plaza, most folks I met also walking were “candidates”. Hmm, then I met a fellow loner hehe! I smiled and he turned back towards me. Hi – hello… and we were on!

Gosh! Where?! He led me thru the walkway of a building and we sat at the closed grills/gate. It was dark there and had a clear view of the path. And he immediately started working on me, while I made sure no one was coming, oh my goolai! Later, some pairs came to equally dark places near us but my dude dismissed them as just another pair wanting to do what we were already doing! Whoa! That was exciting (scary at first due to apprehension of being caught)! Following day, in broad daylight, I visited the place, just to see really where we made it!

OMG! That was the main entrance of an elementary school building! Take note… main entrance! The gate/grills were now open but the area where we “rested” last night is actually a post/pillar at the very middle of the main entrance. OMG! And a walk away is Andok’s across Tacloban Plaza Hotel!

I think I can do it again hehe!
